Haweya Mohamed co-founded Afrobytes in 2015. Afrobytes is a platform designed to connect African start-ups and innovators with international tech stakeholders, notably European start-ups, companies and investors looking for growth and investment opportunities in the African market.

Ms. Mohamed also co-founded The Colors in 2019, an agency specializing in the fast-growing multicultural beauty market. She has been recognized for her work as an entrepreneur and advocate for women in tech by Forbes, Entrepreneur Magazine, and Fast Company, among others.
